Saudi Exchange and Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development Sign Cooperation Agreement to Launch a Social Responsibility Index

Riyadh, 20 February 2024: Saudi Exchange and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development have signed a cooperation agreement to launch a Social Responsibility Index. This index, which will be calculated by a third-party, will serve as a vital tool in assessing and promoting corporate social responsibility practices within listed companies on the Saudi Exchange.

The Saudi Exchange and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development will collaborate to develop and introduce the Social Responsibility Index, based on the national standards for sustainability being developed by the Ministry of Economy and Planning, the Capital Market Authority, and Saudi Tadawul Group. This Index will provide valuable insights into companies' commitment to social responsibility and will include a rating system to guide investors and stakeholders interested in supporting socially responsible businesses.

This collaboration represents a significant step towards promoting corporate social responsibility and sustainable business practices in the Kingdom.
